Una Bélgica mermada por las bajas no pasa del empate

Bélgica, sin varios de sus mejores jugadores, no pudo pasar del empate 0-0 en un amistoso contra Irlanda en Dublín este sábado, a menos de tres meses del inicio de la Eurocopa-2024.

Los ‘Diablos Rojos’ belgas tuvieron que jugar sin su guardameta Thibaut Courtois, lesionado de gravedad, ni el artífice de su juego ofensivo, el centrocamposta Kevin de Bruyne, que no viajó para recuperarse, mientras que el delantero centro Romelu Lukaku volvía de lesión y no sumó minutos.

En el Aviva Stadium, sacudido por el fuerte viento, los hombres entrenados por Domenico Tedesco estuvieron a punto incluso de encajar un gol, pero el guardameta Matz Sels paró un penal lanzado por Evan Ferguson (27).

El martes, el nivel de dificultad para los belgas será mayor, pues se medirán en Wembley a Inglaterra.
